On November 14, Ross Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:ROSS), a provider of ERP and e-business solutions for mid-market process manufacturers, reported results for its first quarter ended September 30, 2000. Revenues in the quarter were $14.2 million, down 39% from $23.3 million in the same quarter of the prior year. Particularly bleak was a 60% license revenue decline, to $2.4 million from $6 million a year ago. The net loss for the quarter was $4.2 million, compared to a net profit of $0.3 million in the same quarter of the prior year (See Figure 1).
