The difference is best described this way: if BPM is the goal, then BI is the way to reach that goal. Combined, they assess performance management, which helps organizations align strategies by tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPI). BPM is the dashboard of the enterprise; it helps decision makers by providing accurate, detailed, and timely information on the status of the enterprise.
