Introduction

As with any software selection process, you must establish a basic framework in which you want to operate before you start to look at package solutions. This is particularly true in evaluating a warehouse management system (WMS). Knowing how you want your warehouse to be organized and operate will assist you in selecting the most appropriate software package and what procedural changes you might need to make.
