La planificación avanzada y optimización (APO) o planificación avanzada y programación (APS), como se le llama a veces, ha sido fuente de confusión y escepticismo, aunque sea por las razones equivocadas, debido a la gran publicidad que se ha hecho de sus fracasos, sobre todo en el uso táctico y estratégico. Algunos de los fracasos del pasado se han debido a una falta de capacitación y de interfaces complejas con los usuarios, entre otras cosas. Sin embargo, existe un interés renovado en APO, y muchos vendedores están enfocados en la creación de sistemas fáciles de usar y en promover una conciencia nueva. Esto, junto con el éxito que ha tenido en las tareas de las misiones críticas, hará que crezca el número de usuarios de los sistemas APO. |
