El cerebro de un sistema de cadena de suministro

Planificación avanzada y optimización (APO) es una herramienta de software que se usa para hacer que un sistema de cadena de suministro sea rentable e integrado. Debido a que APO funciona por encima de las demás herramientas de software que se usan para planificar, supervisar y controlar las actividades de la cadena de suministro, además de controlarlas, podríamos llamarla el cerebro de un sistema de cadena de suministro.
Este artículo estudia las ventajas de contar con una herramienta APO durante la gestión de las funciones de la cadena de suministro aunque se haya invertido en un sistema de gestión de la cadena de suministro (SCM). En las empresas que no han realizado dicha inversión, la herramienta APO podrá usarse junto con el sistema SCM próximo. |
