Control Reports Features and Functions
The reports listed in this section have been designed to make sure information is input correctly.
|
Transaction Register
The transaction registers are the primary audit trail by which information is researched at the end of a period or year, or even long after a period has been closed. This question helps identify how a system helps users segregate information in support of this review or research process. In addition, this question asks how the original batch or transaction can be identified since the user will be looking at a single entry in a detailed trial balance or account activity report.
|
Transaction Drill-down
This question asks if a user can drill down from a single entry in a transaction register or equivalent report to the original transaction and whether it is possible to see that original transaction in its entirety as if it had just been input.
|
Journals
Journals are summary reports that track transactions in very broad categories.
