Product Attributes
Product attributes define the important features and characteristics of a material from a commercial perspective. We define product attributes here, as representing stable characteristics of a product that typically do not change on a-unit by-unit, lot-by-lot, or batch-by-batch basis.
Product Definition
The base definition for the product, or commercial view of the material, which can be associated to one or more materials.
Data Aggregation and Cleansing
PIM systems gather data from a variety of sources. This data must be automatically checked against business rules and other filters, then tagged as needing review when it does not pass inspection.
Routing and Approval
On-line routing and approval is considered a subset of the workflow process. Some PIM applications handle routing and approval outside of the standard workflow, so the individual requirements are identified independently because they are very important for PIM.
Product Collateral
