- Evaluate orders and determine best route and rate considering GTL, LTL, and consolidation points
- Evaluate backhaul opportunities and build into route
- Determine vehicle capacity availability with consideration to order and vehicle rules
- Build routes based on requirements such as fixed or flexible consolidation points, multi-stops, and operating schedules such as customer operative hours and driver on-duty
- Load optimization
- Evaluate various financial indices such as profitable route, cost for distance, and cost per hour
- Recommend best pick-up, drop off, or plan for constants such as fixed schedules and dock reservations
- Schedule yard processing such as sequencing (first in first out) processing order based on reservation by customer, order vehicle, or yard limitation
- Solve for relay type scheduling
- Evaluate routes by trade-offs such as fleet utilization, costs, customer service, and time
- Create driver schedules and team work schedules based on costs, personnel constraints, legal requipments, and labor restrictions (union or legal)
