The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly: A Look at Software Vendors' "About Us" Web Pages

Software vendors are nothing if not resourceful, known for leaving no stone unturned in their ongoing quest to attract new customers. So you'd expect them to come through with flying colors when it comes to something so simple—and so amazingly close to home—as providing a clear, compelling message on their "About Us" web site pages. Well, you'd be wrong. When we set off to analyze the communications quality of ten software vendors' "About Us" web pages, we found that some were good, others were bad, and the rest were downright ugly.
