ANIMART Selects abas-USA ERP

ANIMART, a provider of animal health and veterinary products and supplies as well as over-the-counter and prescription products for dairy and livestock, recently selected abas-ERP to help streamline and manage its growing business. The company will require a custom implementation including standard enterprise resource planning (ERP) features for distribution such as distribution master schedule (DMS), customer relationship management (CRM), warehousing, detailed planning, finance, costing, controlling, and purchasing.
Additionally, abas-USA will be customizing mobile apps, which provide offline functionality, allowing data to be entered and stored when a signal is not available. The applications will be made available through iTunes for iPhone, iPad, or iPod. Using proprietary middleware, they will interface with the abas-ERP in real time, or offline when required (e.g., being out on a farm without access to a wireless network).
abas-ERP was selected over Oracle JD Edwards, Epicor, and Infor, whereby the final selection was between abas and Epicor. The vendor did some custom iPad forms for ANIMART so the company could remotely create data sets that later could be synced with abas-ERP. These customized apps should help improve workflow, and are the latest technological advancement for abas-USA.
