Acumatica ERP Version 4.2 Is Here

Acumatica released Version 4.2 at its annual Spring Training for partners. The bullish cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) vendor commits to one major release a year, although it may release significant releases throughout the year in response to its partners and customers. More than 270 partners have signed with Acumatica since its first product launch in 2009. The newest partners to join this year include the likes of TechSource in Dubai, MBS Partners based in Beverly Hills, and Clients First in Texas.
With Acumatica 4.2, the key themes are quality, reliability, and new functionality in both Acumatica Cloud ERP and the Acumatica Cloud Platform. This version also features improved usability of existing features and expanded documentation and training materials. Acumatica’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) deployment option is now powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide cloud infrastructure in compliance with regulations, standards, and best practices. Nevertheless, customers and partners still have freedom to choose the hosting platform that works best for them, including Microsoft Azure, under Acumatica’s subscription on-premise (SOP) and perpetual license pricing arrangements.
In addition, Acumatica 4.2 can handle more complex contract management business scenarios associated with subscription billings, including upgrades, retainers, rate control, third-party billings, delayed activation, and on-demand billing. The release is also Payment Card Industry (PCI) ready for transacting credit card payments and can manage large volumes of sales leads by creating rules and schedules for purging, assigning, and converting leads.
