Aras and Minerva Win Another PLM Deal

Aras, the leading enterprise-class open source product lifecycle management (PLM) software solution provider, recently announced that ABB Epyon, a provider of Internet-based charging infrastructure for all electronic vehicle (EV) charging standards, has selected Aras Innovator and the Electronic PLM solution from Minerva. ABB Epyon offers a total solution that includes broad charger portfolio supporting all charging standards, specific solutions for all location types, connectivity services to enhance the business, and proactive global service and maintenance. The company provides a charging solution that fits the needs of both drivers and service providers.
Aras and Minerva, Europe’s largest Aras implementation partner, seem to have carved out a nice niche. As a former Agile Software (and then Oracle’s Agile PLM) partner, Minerva has meanwhile switched to Aras’s partner ecosystem, and the company has great knowledge of its regional PLM market and competitors.
Together, the power and flexibility of the Aras platform and Minerva’s knowledge and experience in the electronics industry provide companies such as ABB Epyon, Kamstrup, and many others in the recent past with a compelling PLM solution. In many of those wins, Aras and Minerva have prevailed over Oracle’s Agile PLM.
Key drivers in ABB Epyon’s selection were Minerva’s proven track record in the electronics industry with functionality designed specifically for electronics companies, as well as speed of implementation and cost effectiveness. The PLM implementation includes a comprehensive PLM scope with collaboration and change management for contract manufacturers in a single system.
