Atlas Pipeline Selects IFS Applications

IFS’ win streak continued with Atlas Pipeline Mid-Continent Holdings, LLC (“Atlas Pipeline”), active in gathering and processing natural gas for transportation to commercial, industrial, and residential markets, recently choosing IFS Applications as its new enterprise solution. The oil and gas industry is one of IFS’ core markets. Based on a single product line, IFS Applications delivers component-based business solutions that manage the entire lifecycle of contracts, projects, assets, and services.

IFS Applications includes functionality for contract and project management, risk management, budgeting and forecasting, engineering, material management, fabrication, document management, service and asset management, all integrated with financials and human resources (HR). In other words, it is a fully integrated enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution with deep enterprise asset management (EAM) functionality. Microsoft Dynamics reportedly competed for this deal, but IFS’ win is not surprising in this industry. Other IFS oil and gas customers include Agility Group, Babcock Engineering Services, Microseismic, Maersk Drilling, Maersk Supply Service, Heerema Fabrication Group, Seadrill, Yantai Raffles, Archer, Apply Sørco, Hertel, Bergen Group Rosenberg, Technip, BWO, Semco Maritime, Reinertsen, STX Europe, PGS, Wellstream, and Hamworthy.

IFS Applications modules that were purchased by Atlas Pipeline include: IFS Document Management, IFS Quality Management, IFS Support Center, IFS Financials, IFS Projects, IFS Engineering/Asset Design, IFS Maintenance, IFS Sales & Service, IFS Human Resources, IFS Preventive Maintenance, IFS Process Automation Integration, IFS Work/Service Order, and IFS Business Intelligence. Atlas selected IFS Applications also because of its mobile options through IFS Touch Apps, which should allow the company to be more efficient and communicate better with the field.
