The former allows users to receive and personalize their messaging options from their mobile devices. This app is targeted at individuals who are or desire to be subscribed to Blackboard MyConnect groups—topic-based subscription lists provided by their institutions. Other preferences offered by the app include the ability to change the message mode of delivery (i.e., voice, e-mail or SMS/text) as well as the ability to manage notifications from other institutions (such as city hall) that use Blackboard.

The later allows students to administer their Blackboard Transact campus ID accounts from their mobile devices. According to the press release,  eAccounts Mobile offers students the option to check their campus debit card account balance, view transactions, make real-time deposits, and manage security features on iOS smartphones or tablets.
