Event Summary

Market Impact

Utilizing a WAP enabled device, such as an Internet Ready Phone or WAP enabled PDA, registered users will be able to access any Internet browser based bookmarks from virtually anywhere at anytime. This announcement bears no significant impact at the present time due to the general lack of web enabled wireless equipment in the United States. However, if focused some advertising revenue outside of the Americas it may have some impact in both Asia and Europe where wireless technology is considerably more advanced.

User Recommendations is ahead of the curve in terms of technology and doesn't necessarily need to be there right now. Within the United States we expect an 18 - 24 month timeframe to allow for wireless device proliferation to occur before any service on the Internet is actively accessed by wireless users.

If you happen to be one of the very few within the U.S. with a WAP enabled device, and use to store your bookmarks give it a try. And the best part, its free.
