Epicor Releases Epicor HCM 5.8

Even a recent change of CEO doesn’t mean that product development stops at an enterprise service company like Epicor. At the recent HR Tech 2013 conference, the vendor announced general availability of the latest release of its human capital management (HCM) solution, Epicor HCM 5.8. The newest release of Epicor HCM delivers expanded country-specific functionality and enhancements to goal measurement and reporting.

The expanded global framework of the newest release of Epicor HCM now supports organizations with offices in the United Kingdom and in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). Location-specific configuration of Epicor HCM delivers a balance of relevant communication and corporate standards at each office site. Both UK and ANZ country-specific functionality profiles include terminology updates and tax code capabilities for respective regions.

To enhance employee measurement, Epicor HCM features new tasks with fields allowing users to align goals with corporate objectives. Goal enhancements include support for attaching a component of pay to a specific goal, which can be optionally displayed to employees.

"Schedule goal payout" is a new task that provides tools to customize goal-related payout schedules and to view the goals of an employee or group of employees based on date, status, or other filters. These filters can be incorporated with new forecast reporting, where management calculates the payout amount for all goals within a certain period and ensure payouts align with corporate, division, and department budgets.

The latest version of Epicor HCM is available as an integral part of the Epicor 9 enterprise resource planning (ERP) suite, or as an independent HCM solution. Epicor HCM is supported on Microsoft SQL Server 2012. Epicor offers various deployment options in order to meet an organization's specific requirements without compromising functionality.
