Forever 21 Selects Kronos for Global Workforce Management

Kronos Inc., a provider of workforce management (WFM) software, keeps on posting great results due to growth in cloud deployments and brand new customer wins. Regarding the latter, Forever 21, a specialty retailer of clothing and accessories, selected Kronos as its global WFM solution to address multinational needs and standardize its brand experience delivery across the world. Forever 21 will use Kronos time and attendance (T&A) and forecasting and scheduling solutions across 500 stores in Austria, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, the Netherlands, Spain, the U.K., and the U.S.

The retailer is rapidly expanding, and more than 40,000 Forever 21 retail associates around the world will use Kronos. The vendor should help Forever 21 minimize compliance risk by managing the complexities related to variations in work and pay rules, languages, and currencies. On the other hand, the Kronos forecasting and scheduling solution will ensure optimal labor coverage across all store locations, enabling Forever 21 to predict labor needs and properly control staffing demands. These capabilities should help reduce over- and understaffing as well as minimize overtime costs.

I would not be surprised if Kronos prevailed over fierce global competitors such as Infor Workbrain, Ceridian Dayforce, JDA Software/RedPrairie, and others in a lengthy evaluation process.  As employee satisfaction is a key focus for Forever 21, the retailer reportedly selected Kronos for the solution’s ease of use and global track record for end-user adoption. With one solution for all of its WFM needs, Kronos will offer Forever 21 a comprehensive view of labor costs on a global basis. For timekeeping, Kronos’ huge market share and the T&A market leadership will have likely been factors, along with the vendors’ solid scheduling capabilities.
