Grupo Axo Selects Epicor Retail

Just in time for the National Retail Federation (NRF) annual conference, Epicor announced that Grupo Axo, the business partner of internationally renowned retail brands within Mexico (such as Brooks Brothers, Brunello Cucinelli, Chaps, Coach, Crate and Barrel, Emporio Armani, Etro, Express, Guess, etc.), has selected the full Epicor Retail suite to help support its expanding retail operations. The retailer has 116 store locations, more than 1,500 outlets in major department stores, and over 500,000 customers throughout Mexico.
 
To further its information technology, retail operations, and logistics best practices, Grupo Axo plans to leverage Epicor technology in the areas of merchandising, planning/assortment planning, audit and operations management, point of sale (POS, both store and mobile store), customer relationship management (CRM), clienteling, and enterprise selling. The Epicor Retail Wholesale product will also be implemented to support Grupo Axo's free-standing stores as well as POS stations found within the country's major department stores.
 
After an exhaustive selection process where the whole company had input, Grupo Axo reportedly selected Epicor over some leading Tier One retail software providers. The decision was based on the software's functionality, versatility, speed, and innovation, and the company's in-depth understanding of the retail market and the fashion industry. Epicor’s platform was deemed flexible enough to handle both fashion and furniture/furnishings, and able to integrate with different POS terminals throughout the different department stores.
 
Epicor Retail serves several hundred of the most demanding soft goods, hard goods, and specialty retail environments in a variety of industries, including apparel, footwear, discount, general merchandise, automotive aftermarket, lumber and building materials, nursery, and pharmacy (see my earlier article for details).  
 
Grupo Axo hopes to manage all of its brands with the same system, while maintaining the integrity and unique brand strategy of each of the brands that it offers. Epicor’s CRM and clienteling tools are expected to allow retailers to know and understand the behaviors of customers of each of its brands, so that the company can engage with them and reward and incentivize their loyalty. With the Epicor Retail Enterprise Selling module, Grupo Axo will have a centralized real-time inventory locator and order management solution that enables any sales channel to find inventory and fulfill orders across the enterprise.
