space-time-insight150.pngHydro One Networks, a planning, construction, operations, and maintenance provider for transmission and distribution networks in Ontario recently selected the Space-Time Insight Situational Intelligence suite to provide a consistent and comprehensive view of asset risks and priorities to help operators and field service crews to collaborate and improve lifecycle decisions over all maintenance planning of their grid.

The solution, deployed by Space-Time Insight in collaboration with Accenture, will also help asset managers and executives to determine an asset’s risk of failure, improve service reliability, lower costs, and improve security.Wayne Smith, senior vice president of planning and operating of Hydro One Networks, stated:
We are excited to be working with Space-Time Insight and Accenture on this project. The situational intelligence system gives our asset managers unique insights into our asset portfolio, helps them plan more effectively, and ensures greater reliability of the service we deliver to our customers.

By combining the various disciplines within analytics—such as location, operational, and mobile intelligence—Space-Time Insight is able to provide real-time insights by gathering data from different systems to provide a complete view of Hydro One’s assets.

Space-Time Insight is building an interesting case for asset-intensive industries by being able to use data coming from different categories of analytics and correlate their outcomes to provide extended insights.
