Kronos Offers Cloud Workforce Management for the Little Guy

Kronos, the global leader in delivering workforce management (WFM) solutions in the cloud, is preparing for its KronosWorks 2012 conference early next week, and continues to fire on all cylinders. Tens of thousands of organizations in more than 100 countries—including more than half of the Fortune 1000—use Kronos to control labor costs, minimize compliance risk, and improve workforce productivity. During the recently held 15th annual HR Technology Conference & Exposition in Chicago, Kronos announced a series of enhancements to its fast-selling cloud WFM suite for small and midsize businesses (SMBs), dubbed Kronos Workforce Ready.

In March 2012, Kronos announced that it had acquired SaaShr.com, which gave it a well-established network of payroll service bureaus, human resources (HR) outsourcers, and value-added resellers (VARs). More than 4,800 unique customers were using the SaaShr solution. Customers range from small (under 100 employees) to medium sized (under 1,000 employees) businesses across several verticals. Kronos has reportedly added 1,100 customers since the acquisition.

Based on the former SaaShr technology platform, Workforce Ready is a new suite of cloud-based WFM solutions. Workforce Ready delivers enterprise-class capabilities with the affordability, flexibility, and convenience that SMBs desire. Its hosted, multi-tenant architecture lets customers mix and match product—on one platform, with one employee record, and one user interface (UI).

Capitalizing on its hosted multi-tenant architecture, Workforce Ready uses a simple SaaS-based pricing approach. Applications are available on a per-employee, per-month basis, accompanied by fixed-price implementation services. Kronos continues to sell its flagship Workforce Central suite for larger organizations, in both on-premise and hosted (private cloud) deployment options. The suite contains industry-specific time and attendance (T&A), scheduling, absence management, HR and payroll, hiring, and labor analytics applications.
