Pearson Selects Cameleon Software’s CPQ

Pearson, a global education company, has selected Cameleon Software’s Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) solution as part of a business transformation initiative aimed at enhancing the customer experience. Anticipating the growing need for customized and personalized services, as well as the shift from paper to digital content, Pearson adapted its business processes to the market changes and, as part of its strategy, implemented a CPQ solution.

The tight integration of Cameleon’s CPQ solution with salesforce.com’s customer relationship management (CRM) offering, along with its mobile capabilities, should support Pearson’s development of a deeper personalized customer and technical service experience, at any time and from any device.

Given that competitors like BigMachines, FPX, CallidusCloud, and Apptus also have close relationships with salesforce.com, my guess is that a large global company like Pearson might have also liked Cameleon’s ability to handle complexity and scalability as well as its system parametrization approach for system configuration. This win is a major reference for the French company in the US market and in a relatively new industry for the vendor.
