Robert Morris University Subscribes to UNIT4 Agresso Cloud ERP

Robert Morris University (RMU) recently selected the Agresso ERP system by UNIT4. The $1.5 million software–as-a-service (SaaS) agreement includes access to a cloud solution suite including financial management and budgeting, human resources (HR) and payroll, procurement, project costing and billing, process automation, and comprehensive reporting.
RMU is a private institution integrating liberal arts with a professionally focused and applied education. Boasting a 93 percent undergraduate placement rate, RMU has seen record enrollment and fundraising growth, added new degree programs and facilities, and increased academic rigor; and it now draws students from across the US and around the globe.
As an institution that is constantly changing and building for the future, RMU recognized that its existing Oracle E-Business Suite (Oracle EBS) solution was broad but cumbersome and costly when changes needed to be made. The university’s new strategic plan requires more business agility and it chose a cloud subscription to UNIT4 Agresso to gain that agility and offer better services to its students, faculty, and staff. The university plans to go live on the system in 2015.
Worldwide, UNIT4 serves more than 400 higher education institutions. Its North American subsidiary, UNIT4 Business Software, continues to expand its customer base of higher education and research institutions in North America, and beat some worthy cloud opponents and stock market darlings in this deal.
UNIT4 Agresso’s multitenant cloud suite is very competitive owing to the change capabilities of its underlying Vita architecture and the security, portability, release elasticity, completeness/maturity, and immediate data restoration capabilities that are not often offered by other cloud software providers.
