SnapLogic to Extend SumTotal elixHR Platform in the Cloud

SumTotal Systems, a renowned provider of integrated human resources (HR) solutions, recently announced a partnership with SnapLogic to extend the SumTotal elixHR platform by delivering an HR Connector Framework populated with SnapLogic’s library of pre-built connectors. The SumTotal elixHR Connector Framework will provide access to more than 150 business applications—on-premises, in the cloud, or both—and thus help expedite customers’ talent expansion initiatives by allowing them to deliver and exchange learning, talent, and HR data across multiple business applications and systems, in near real time.

SumTotal has customarily provided a rich library of integration tools, including Web services, data migration utilities, and data synchronization utilities. In the past, customers have used these tools to integrate SumTotal with one or more of their other HR and business systems by using customer resources or SumTotal professional services to map the data to and from SumTotal.

With SnapLogic partnership, however, they will be able leverage the SnapLogic’s library of modern Web-standards-based “containerized Snaps” to provide pre-built connectors mapped between SumTotal and the most frequently integrated customer systems, including Workday, Oracle, SAP, Peoplesoft, and By providing out-of-the-box connectors to those popular business applications, the SumTotal elixHR Connector Framework should give customers the ability to access information from third-party business applications directly within their SumTotal applications and vice versa.

Customers using the elixHR Connector Framework will have access to elixHR Connector Studio, a browser-based, drag-and-drop visual designer and rich library of integration connectors that allows users to design and adjust integration and data flows between SumTotal solutions and the customers’ third-party systems. Users will have the capability to access third-party information directly from within their SumTotal applications, making elixHR an even more comprehensive “single source of human capital management (HCM) truth.”
