soffront.jpgSoffront Software Inc. has announced the addition of a new scheduling module to its CRM solution. According to the press release, the module has been built with the help of Soffront's largest service consumers. The product targets commercial cleaning, maintenance, security systems, and guard and armor car services, among other industries.

The module allows service providers to:

  • define service contracts,

  • handle employee workload,

  • automatically generate visit plans and work orders, and

  • manage schedules of personnel and vehicles.

A key feature is the Web-based drag-and-drop calendar, which allows users to visually schedule personnel and vehicles to identify schedules, overtime, unavailability, and conflicts.

Although field service management solutions such as ClickSoftware, TOA, or ServiceMax tend to differ from one another, it appears that they all acknowledge the importance of scheduling and customer management in service management software. Soffront seems to have accurately hit an increasing market demand with its new offering.
