SpringCM and SteelBrick Partner to Accelerate Sales Cycles

At the Salesforce1 World Tour event in Chicago, SpringCM, a content cloud services provider, and SteelBrick, a provider of easy-to-use configure, price, quote (CPQ) apps for salesforce.com customers, announced the delivery of an integrated application that aims to accelerate quote-to-cash sales cycles.
By combining CPQ with document and contract management capabilities, the integrated offering aims to tackle a broad range of sales-related activities that begin when an opportunity is opened in Sales Cloud (i.e., managing content including presentations, non-disclosure agreements [NDAs], statements of work [SoWs], proposals, and more) and continues after it closes, including archiving, audits, searches, add-ons, and renewal processes.
Powered by SpringCM's platform for managing content and automating workflows and SteelBrick's platform for generating customer-friendly quotes easily and accurately, the combined solution should help companies accelerate activities at each stage of the deal.

SteelBrick, whose founders come from the former CPQ leader BigMachines (now part of Oracle), has a Salesforce platform-based solution that simplifies and automates the CPQ process, including selecting and configuring products and services, ensuring pricing and discounting accuracy, and creating accurate price quotes. For its part, SpringCM will be in charge of centralizing contracts and automating the entire contracts lifecycle from contract generation through negotiation, approvals, and signature.
While no one can stop change (new products, shifting market windows, expanded sales teams, increasing competition, etc.), SpringCM and SteelBrick together strive to help companies eliminate the errors, friction, and frustration that come with that change. Apttus, Selectica, FPX, and other configure, price, quote, contract (CPQC) providers should watch out for this up and coming competitive combination.
