The Perstorp Group Selects PROS

The Perstorp Group, a player in the specialty chemicals markets and a pioneer in formalin chemistry, plastics, and surface materials, selected PROS big data applications to enhance its customer experience and sales effectiveness initiatives.
 
Founded in 1881 and headquartered in Sweden, Perstorp has approximately 1,500 employees in 22 countries, and production sites in eight countries across Europe, Asia, and North America. The company’s products enable the use of key materials in a range of everyday products, from shatterproof windshields and finishes on leather to additives for grains and scratch-resistant coatings for plastics in electronics.
 
The company reportedly did a lot of due diligence, whereby executives across the organization were involved. With senior executives involved, there is typically a deeper view on what PROS’ pricing optimization and demand management solutions can do, especially with some execs having previous experiences with the product at peer companies. The vendor’s depth of experience in the chemicals industry was thus also a decisive factor.
 
PROS’ staff proactively engaged with Perstorp’s team to understand the business and recommend prescriptive solutions and use scenario cases for the prospect’s better sales and pricing practices.
