C. McNulty - Date, 2000

Event Summary

Hewlett Packard [NYSE:HWP] has recently clarified its product direction for its new e-Vectra line of appliance PCs. In a conference with TechnologyEvaluation.com, HP announced that the e-Vectra sealed case would include an "easy swap" hard drive.

We believe this overcomes one of major objections to appliance PCs like the e-Vectra - since the hard drive is typically the most likely PC system component to need replacement. This makes the e-Vectra a far stronger contender for the corporate desktop.
