TEC Analyst Observations on Aquilon

Aquilon Software is an ERP solutions provider from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, which targets the North American market, as well as the United Kingdom and Australia (where it has localized its product). Its main focus is SMBs in the hard goods distribution, light manufacturing, and lumber products industries. Plastics, utilities, food processing and distribution are other industries served by Aquilon Software.

The Aquilon system is a combination of new technologies, which makes screen and views easy to access, filter, and even modify, and old business logic, which requires users to enter codes to access data or navigate from one field to another, and can be discouraging for people not used to working with old ERP systems. The solution is flexible enough to allow for basic changes, and a report writer allows users to build or modify reports based on their needs. Graphical representation of the data is also available, as is the option to analyze this data and drill down for details. Read more
