Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.1 clearly shows Oracle’s reasonable ambitions to solidify its position in industries such as asset intensive industries, manufacturing and distribution, consumer goods, project-related and service industries, project- based manufacturing, and engineering-to-order (ETO), with decent level of supply chain visibility, and additionally food and beverages, other consumer goods, and agricultural businesses. But the main themes of release 9.1 improvements are new and significantly simplified access to reporting data via One View Reporting, enhancements in user interface and system navigation, extended offerings in mobility, and multiple functional and technical features that aim to lower the system's total cost of ownership, a factor that is particularly essential for small and medium businesses.
