Company and Product Overview

QlikTech, or Qlik Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: QLIK), is a software company that was founded in 1993 in Sweden and is currently based in Radnor, PA. Most of QlikTech´s development efforts are based on its main offering, its flagship product QlikView. QlikView is a data discovery platform based on the use of an innovative in-memory computing engine and a data associative mechanism that maintains associations in data and calculates aggregations rapidly, as needed, with an ability for performing dynamic presentations, instantaneous data manipulation, and real-time data analysis. Qlikview is a general-purpose application that is used for data analysis and manipulation tasks such as reporting, forecasting, and general analysis of information. A key feature of QlikView is its capability for allowing end users to interact directly with data and the speed at which this process is done. Due to its all-purpose approach and despite its categorization as business software, it can also be used in other fields that require real-time data analysis capabilities (e.g., science, engineering, academic research, etc.). Another interesting feature of QlikView is its ability to be deployed in a variety of ways, such as on-premise, on cloud servers, on laptops, and on mobile devices such as iPhones and iPads, with mobility representing one of QlikTech's main focus areas for encouraging the pervasive adoption of QlikView. Read more
