Learning Management Suite (LMS)

These are tools for managing, creating, scheduling training or learning in your organization. The terminology varies from vendor to vendor. Learning management systems (LMS) typically help to manage both classroom and on-line learning. They do not normally include content creation or management tools but may in some cases. Some LMSs may manage just classroom or just e-learning rather than both. Some LMSs may also include content authoring and managment and virtual classrooms. Learning content management systems (LCMS) emphasize the management of content for courses/training/learning. In most cases, they include content authoring tools. In some cases, they may also include some of the features of LMSs. Content authoring tools are often provided as part of an LCMS. They may also be stand-alone products. Virtual classrooms (web conferencing tools) normally are separate third party offerings but may be included as part of a suite of tools. Suites of tools include features of at least two or more of the above categories. While some companies offer just LMS or LCMS systems others offer suites of products, which provide all or most of the features of the other tools. Suites combine several capabilities of learning management--usually two or more of the following: learning management, classroom training management, e-learning management, custom content creation, learning content management, learning object repositories, or virtual classrooms.

Companies and educational institutions use learning management systems (LMSs) to provide training and e-learning. With over 250 LMSs currently on the market, smaller and medium-sized enterprises are now adopting this software and using it to boost performance. Find out why.

Hybrid ERP Cloud Tales

The vast majority of enterprise resource planning (ERP) system instances are still deployed on premises for obvious historical reasons; however, a growing number of customers are becoming interested and demanding cloud deployments, for only brand new modules (“edge” functionality) or even the total system’s migration to the cloud. So, what are enterprise systems vendors supposed to do?

agresso lcms  never heard of UNIT4 Agresso ERP having a formal program for shifting customers from on-premise to hybrid or any other cloud deployment, is because no program is required—so there is nothing ‘new’ to announce! The action of moving UNIT4 Agresso ERP customers from one deployment option to another—whether it’s cloud to cloud, on premise to cloud (in any flavor—private or public, multitenant cloud) or however they wish to deploy—is a simple ‘freedom of choice’ action that is fast to do Read More

Soured on Expiration: The Value Proposition and Strategy for an Agile Enterprise Systems Vendor

Post-implementation agility should be the goal of most companies in their enterprise resource planning (ERP) selection. However, it is not so easy to dispel a widespread preference for the "usual suspect" ERP choices that currently stop short at post-implementation agility.

agresso lcms  agility value proposition of Agresso , one of the world's top five providers of people-centric enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions, are business views, which are the result of combining attributes, relations, and rules.
