How to Conduct a Code Review
A properly conducted code review can do more for the security of your application than nearly any other step. A large numbers of bugs can be found and fixed before the code makes it into an official build or into the hands of the test team. PHP Code Design
Interactive web sites are event-driven. With each user click, a menu selection or keyboard action initiates a thread of execution that runs many lines of code. Many Web projects start as small code snippets gathered from open source sites, but as the web site grows, new developers are added to the mix. Without design and documentation tools, the project can become unmanageable, unreliable, insecure, and costly to expand.

Explore source code translation using MacTranslator and WinTranslator with Excel Software solutions. Download free TEC white paper. Everyone who writes computer software eventually faces the requirement of converting a large code base from one programming language to another. But source-code conversion is a tedious, error-prone, and labor-intensive process. While there is no magic button to turn old code into new code, there are tools that can dramatically reduce the time and cost of a conversion project. Find out more.

CUSTOM CODE: will be able to customize the process to fit the specific needs of a project. Use MacTranslator s Reengineer Project dialog to identify the source code folders, choose the Objective-C programming language and select the type of design data to collect. MacTranslator then scans the code files and produces one Dictionary.rp file for all the code files in each code folder. The top toolbar in MacTranslator shows the file path of each code file being processed. A Dictionary.List file is generated for the

Active Execution Management--Delivering on the RFID Promise
Active Execution Management captures radio frequency identification (RFID) and electronic product code (EPC) data and integrates it into the supply chain business process. AXM associates individual EPC events (the observation of an EPC tag at an RFID reader) with the supply chain transaction that is currently being executed and then determines if that supply chain transaction is executing as planned. AXM is able to make this determination by comparing key performance indicators of the supply chain transaction with the characteristics of the EPC event. The paper describes multiple business cases, such as promotions management, deductions management, complex international shipments, and spoilage management, and shows how RFID data can be leveraged to improve supply chain performance.

Will Sun Burn Linux with Free Solaris?
Sun Microsystems has eliminated licensing fees for Solaris 8 and its source code.

CUSTOM CODE: progress into its primary customer base. Although a secondary focus of this announcement is to try to pressure Microsoft to open its source and APIs, we do not expect Redmond to take the bait. User Recommendations This sweetens the pot for current Solaris users, and provides an extra incentive for those considering Solaris as their platform, but we do not see this alone as a reason to pick Sun/Solaris. There are plenty of reasons why users would want to have a Sun/Solaris environment, but free source

Sun to Make Solaris Source Code Available
Sun Microsystems Inc. plans to make the source code of its Solaris operating system freely available to the public.

CUSTOM CODE: will appeal initially to customers who feel a big need to have the source code for their computers OSes, or to those who might otherwise gravitate to Linux. General corporate users and non-developers (e.g. IT managers) will see little effect in the short term, and the announcement should have little effect on their acquisition process. In the longer term, these users can expect to see modest benefits accrue, primarily due to increased Solaris application availability and robustness. 1 CAGR: Compound
