D.F.D.FOR STOCK MGT: The TrueDemand product includes the following components:Logistics analytics: the solution looks at inbound supply chain analytics at the stock-keeping unit (SKU) and location level, including product lead times, days-of-sales, cycle times, dwell times and turnover rates, and inbound service levels. It combines this information with predictive solutions to forecast the impacts of logistics problems and provide recommended solutions. Demand analytics: the solution measures currently observed sales demand, but also provides pre-sales demand analytics, including store replenishment frequency, predicted lost-sales, and retailer warehouse withdrawals. Consumer analytics: using the perpetual inventory and forecasts at the store level, the solution tracks current and projected customer closure rates and market share by SKU and store. Store execution analytics: combined with the store-level forecast by SKU, the solution provides retail shelf, end-cap, end-rack, product module, and plan-o-gram analytics and optimization with shelf replenishment frequency, store labor analysis, and replenishment recommendations. Process-specific analytics: the solution currently support specific analytics for new product introductions, seasonal products, and promotions such as current and projected cut-in failures down to the SKU shelf-level. It also supports projected impacts of execution failures and solution recommendations.

Sagent Technology has been hit with a class action complaint for violation of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. According to the complaint, company officers misrepresented Sagent’s 1999 and 2000 sales prospects to give them time to sell over $8 million of their own stock. The officers sold their stock at prices as high as $27.875, but after the true revenue projections were revealed, the stock dropped as low as $7-7/32. Interestingly, both the Vice President of Sales and the Chief Financial Officer resigned after they received their millions of dollars in proceeds.
