Abstract: Ardent Software has announced the addition of SAP extraction and load capabilities to their
DataStage product, increasing their strength in the Extract/Transform/Load tool market. Due to the prevalence of SAP in the Enterprise Resource Planning space, this addition will provide a competitive advantage over some of the other major ETL vendors such as Sagent and Computer Associates.

Abstract: WESTBORO, Mass., November 29, 1999 - Ardent Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARDT) today announced a strategic partnership with Firstlogic, Inc., the developer of i.d.Centric data quality software that helps companies cleanse and consolidate data in database marketing, data warehousing, and e-business applications. Under the partnership agreement Firstlogic will develop and support a link between its customer data quality tools and Ardent's DataStage Suite.
Abstract: Over the last year, Ardent Software (NASDAQ: ARDT) has announced a number of initiatives to strengthen their DataStage data warehousing product, most recently a partnership with NEON Systems (NASDAQ: NESY), a provider of OS/390-MVS mainframe access through their NEON Shadow Direct middleware. On October 18, Ardent reported record financial results for their third quarter ended September 30, 1999. Pro forma earnings were reported to have increased 64%. Total revenues for the third quarter increased 53% to $45.3 million from $29.7 million in the same quarter of 1998.
