We ask ourselves and the target, how do they interact with the product and where do they find information regarding using and purchasing the brand or similar products? Once we understand the target''s media consumption and the target''s relationship with the brand, we look for the intersection point and really try to influence the dynamic. For instance, for Snapple we developed an iron-on to reach teenage boys. At the time, iron-ons were trendy and retro. Our target was teenage boys, notoriously difficult to reach. Teenage boys do a lot of skateboarding, raving and snowboarding. During each of those leisure activities, iron-ons are considered fashionable. We developed an iron-on and ran it in skateboarding, snowboarding and clubbing magazines.
