was particularly impressed with how quickly and easily a user could create a course, using some very basic (and user-friendly) content creation tools. The ease and speed of transition from page to page within the application was also a plus for me. Blackboard Learn requires very little training for the user to get up and running. It is available through an on-premise or software-as-a-service (SaaS) deployment model. The Blackboard Customer Profile The following graph profiles a basic, high-level

way of software deployment. However, in the ERP systems market, I don’t see many alternatives to traditional on-premise manufacturing ERP systems among vendors who offer SaaS ERP products. Even the leader–SAP– is still struggling with their Business ByDesign product, even though it is lighter in functionality compared to SAP ERP. Let’s be optimistic, though. Hopefully, in the upcoming year we will have an opportunity to see and review great SaaS-based ERP products with commensurable levels of

Your Challenge: Get Decision Makers' Approval for Rules of the Road for CRM. Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-Bound. Customer relationship management (CRM) is more than a product—it’s a philosophy. CMMS Software for Hire
Application Service Provision (ASP).There has been a trend in recent years towards the use of remote software services through application service providers. These are companies who make software applications available via the Internet to users who, rather than buying software, pay rental fees for it. The software does not have to be installed locally, the application being available through any web browser, and all support and maintenance is handled by the service provider. CMMS vendors are not the only ones offering these solutions. CAD modelling, engineering design, finance packages, purchasing, ERP and even your company Intranet can now be rented. This is an expanding sector and the signs are that major growth is about to take place. Earlier problems with slow data transfer speeds, communication costs and data security have largely been eliminated and this has made ASP a very attractive proposition. This is clearly illustrated by the proliferation of systems that have become available over the last three or four years with most of the major CMMS vendors now offering an ASP option.
