HR RESEARCH ARTICLE: individual OSes, there are three likely reactions from those who are actually following this mini soap opera: (1) Who cares? ; (2) Boy, I m so angry at their tactics, I m going to show them by picking the other OS , or (3) amused disinterest . We think Scenario #3 is far more likely than #1 or #2 - people just aren t getting as upset at Microsoft s tactics of this type as they did in the past. However, from a corporate standpoint, this indicates that Microsoft is taking the Linux threat even more

Intel Reorganization
Intel Corporation has announced a major reorganization, in an attempt to address some of the problems that have plagued it in the past year.

HR RESEARCH ARTICLE: been addressing those issues through incremental process and organizational improvement. I think it now became very clear that this is the way of the future. Intel has been unable to produce sufficient supply to match the demands of its major customers, especially for the Celeron and Pentium III processors. In February, Intel said it was ramping up its production and predicted it would be able to meet supply needs by the end of the first quarter, but early in April company officials pushed back that

IT Services E-Procurement
E-procurement is not just for goods and material. The market now offers IT services e-procurement solutions that open access to service sources and seek to optimize the service chain. What are these solutions and how do they work?

Legal ASP Persists
In May 2000, TEC reviewed the web site for ASPORA, an ASP aimed at the Legal Community and found it wanting in substance. This is a revisit to that web site at the company’s invitation.

HR RESEARCH ARTICLE: reach them you go through the Internet web site, although the white paper did include a phone number to reach a sales engineer. From TEC s point of view, it is certainly gratifying to think a vendor paid attention to and acted on our recommendations.
