Informatica Conforms to Metadata Standard
Informatica Corporation (Nasdaq: INFA), a major extract/transform/load tool vendor, today announced the general availability of MX2 1.6, the latest version of its Metadata Exchange (MX2) application programming interface (API). Inprise/Borland Challenges Other Vendors to Open-Source Their Database Code
In a move which will challenge other database vendors to open-source their SQL databases, Inprise/Borland Corporation has announced it is releasing the source code for its InterBase 6 cross-platform SQL database. It will provide the database on multiple platforms, including Linux, Windows NT, and Sun Solaris, make the database available at no charge, and spin the InterBase division off into a separate company.

MicroStrategy Hits a Big Speed Bump on the Information Superhighway
On March 20, MicroStrategy announced that they will restate their earnings for 1998, 1999, and the first quarter of 2000.
