Oracle Reports Strong Profits


On December 14, Oracle Corporation announced record second quarter results for the period ended November 30, 1999. For the quarter, net income increased 40% to $384 million, or $0.26 per share, while total revenue grew to $2.3 billion. Despite its inclination to traditionally thrive on a moderate amount of controversy and to fly a number of trial balloons, Oracle, has also been a practical company, often modifying its strategy and adopting a tack that would work better.
