Red Hat Plays Love You, Love You Not with CPUs
Red Hat has announced the release of Alpha Deluxe, its version of Linux for computers based on Compaq’s Alpha CPU. At the same time, the company announced it would drop support for Sun’s Sparc processor.

Microsoft Readies Win2K Datacenter for Defeaturing
Microsoft has started telling the world that the Datacenter version of Windows 2000 will not only be delayed, but also is not yet scaling up to 32-processor capability as has been promised.

Vendor Analysis: Kaspersky Anti-Virus Products Examined
Kaspersky Labs is no newcomer to anti-virus products. Headquartered in Moscow, Russia, with offices in Pleasanton, California and Cambridge, England, Kaspersky Labs has successfully branded itself as a leader in multi-platform anti-virus products.
