The xTuple enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is available in multiple editions to run on Windows, Mac, Linux, mobile devices, locally hosted or in the cloud.   The PostBooks® Edition—available as a free and open source product as well as a commercially licensed edition—contains functionality for basic accounting, including general ledger (GL), accounts receivable (AR), and accounts payable (AP). It also includes fully integrated customer relationship management (CRM) functionality, as well as functionality for sales, purchasing, product definition, inventory, light manufacturing, and reporting.   The commercially licensed Distribution Edition includes everything in the open source PostBooks® Edition, plus additional enterprise-class functionality specifically for distributors and light manufacturers, such as advanced returns management, batch processing of emailed documents, multiwarehouse control, lot/serial tracking and tracing, Special Pricing Agreements (SPA), and other features.   The commercially licensed Manufacturing Edition of xTuple ERP contains everything in the PostBooks® and Distribution Editions, plus additional enterprise-class functionality required by manufacturers, including master production scheduling, lean/constraint management scheduling system, work centers, and bills of operations/routings.   Enterprise Edition of xTuple ERP, the premium commercially licensed product, includes everything in the PostBooks®, Distribution, and Manufacturing Editions, plus add-on components, such as xTuple Business Intelligence, XTN-Business Continuity Service, Quality Control, xTupleCommerce, and complimentary offerings, such as xTuple Connect, Fixed Assets Depreciation and Maintenance, Project Accounting, Enhanced Commissions, and implementation of advanced server and Mobile Web solution featuring the xTuple Workflow engine.   All editions use the same client software—only the database is different. All application business logic resides in the database, and all editions are based on the same core code. Users can upgrade from one edition to another by running a simple script on their databases. The editions are available on perpetual or annual license, cloud or local hosting.   All editions work with xTupleCommerce, xTuple ERP’s real-time business-to-business (B2B) eCommerce for xTuple’s customers’ customers and trading partners.
